Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms govern use of the GridLogic Analytics residential analysis service. The customer may enter information, upload data, and run the initial analysis without being asked to accept these Terms through a checkbox. If the customer chooses to purchase access to the full results and detailed PDF report, GridLogic requires affirmative acceptance immediately before Stripe Checkout. By selecting the purchase-acceptance checkbox and completing checkout, you agree to be bound by these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not complete the paid purchase.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into an agreement to purchase a GridLogic analysis. The version of these Terms accepted at the time of a paid purchase governs that purchase unless applicable law requires otherwise.

2. GridLogic’s residential service

GridLogic Analytics, LLC provides independent, point-in-time residential electric-utility rate and utility-bill modeling based on customer-supplied historical information, utility tariffs and rate information programmed as of the stated analysis date, modeling assumptions, and third-party data services.

Depending on the electric utility and analysis selected, GridLogic may compare supported residential rate plans and model how proposed solar, existing solar, battery storage, or a combination of those resources changes the annual utility bill under the stated current-tariff assumptions. Available rate plans, solar-compensation programs, battery analyses, and other features vary by utility and location.

GridLogic is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any electric utility, state utility commission, solar installer, battery manufacturer, equipment vendor, financing provider, or other company or public body whose products, services, rates, tariffs, programs, or data may be referenced.

3. Informational analysis—not professional or utility advice

GridLogic provides an informational, point-in-time current-tariff residential utility-bill analysis. The service applies historical interval data and customer-selected assumptions to the tariff components programmed as of the stated analysis date. It is not an actual utility bill, future-price or future-bill forecast, certified tariff determination, proposal verification, engineering study, electrical design, solar sales proposal, installer quote, tax opinion, legal advice, financial advice, investment recommendation, guarantee of savings, or recommendation to purchase particular equipment or change utility rates.

GridLogic does not evaluate structural or electrical suitability, installation quality, equipment condition, system pricing, financing, taxes, incentives, insurance, warranties, maintenance, replacement costs, installer or vendor qualifications, payback, or return on investment.

Customers should confirm utility service, rate eligibility, solar-compensation eligibility, interconnection requirements, material tariff provisions, equipment specifications, proposal information, and account-specific provisions before changing rates or making purchasing, financing, sizing, or installation decisions. The analysis should not be used as the sole basis for a significant decision. Appropriate qualified professionals should be consulted regarding electrical, structural, installation, financial, tax, legal, or other professional matters.

4. Customer information and responsibilities

You are responsible for providing complete, accurate, authorized, and correctly aligned information. You represent that you have the right or permission to use any property address, electricity-usage data, solar-production data, export data, and other information submitted for the analysis.

You are responsible for confirming that the electric utility identified or selected in the analyzer is the utility shown on the property’s current electric bill. Geographic information system (GIS), geocoding, and utility-territory screening are screening tools and are not certified utility-service determinations.

• Remove names, utility account numbers, passwords, payment-card information, and unnecessary personal information from uploaded files and column headings.
• Verify the selected utility, current rate, data period, solar size, battery configuration, interconnection or application dates, solar-compensation program, and other customer-selected assumptions.
• Confirm applicable rate, tariff, and program eligibility directly with the utility before acting on the results.
• Do not misuse, interfere with, reverse engineer, circumvent, scrape for purposes of reproducing the service, submit automated excessive requests to, or attempt unauthorized access to the website, calculation service, or supporting systems.

5. Modeled results, accuracy, and changing conditions

Results are point-in-time modeled annual bills and annual bill differences based on the information supplied, supported tariff provisions programmed as of the stated analysis date, GridLogic’s interpretation and implementation of those provisions, calendar or billing-period assumptions, modeled solar production and battery dispatch where applicable, utility adjustors, export compensation, and the other assumptions identified in the analysis or report. They are not predictions or guarantees of future utility bills, future utility prices, or realized savings.

Actual utility bills and results should not be expected to exactly match the model and may differ materially. Utility rates, tariffs, eligibility requirements, time-of-use periods, demand charges, fixed charges, minimum bills, taxes, riders, adjustors, export compensation, solar programs, net-metering or net-billing rules, regulatory decisions, customer usage, weather, solar production, battery operation, equipment performance, and account-specific items may differ or change.

GridLogic makes reasonable efforts to use information believed applicable and reasonably current, but utility publications and third-party sources may be incomplete, delayed, outdated, ambiguous, incorrectly published, or later revised. Errors may also occur in customer input, GridLogic data entry, tariff interpretation, software implementation, or calculation logic. GridLogic does not warrant that every input, tariff component, or calculation is complete, current, or free from error.

GridLogic does not forecast future utility prices or long-term savings. A modeled annual bill difference should not be multiplied or otherwise extrapolated to represent long-term or lifetime savings.

6. Utility and regulatory sources

GridLogic may rely on publicly available utility tariffs, rate schedules, riders, commission orders, utility websites, geographic service-territory information, and other regulatory or governmental materials. As additional residential utilities are developed, relevant sources may include materials from authorities such as the North Carolina Utilities Commission, Public Service Commission of South Carolina, Colorado Public Utilities Commission, Public Service Commission of Utah, and comparable agencies in other states.

Reference to a utility, commission, tariff, rate schedule, program, or public data source is for identification and analysis only and does not imply affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement, approval, or certification by that utility or public body. Mention of a state or regulator in these Terms does not mean that GridLogic currently offers an analyzer for that state.

7. Privacy and third-party services

GridLogic’s collection, processing, use, and retention of information are described in the Privacy Policy.

The residential service may use third-party providers for website hosting and server-side computation, payment processing, secure report storage and retrieval, transactional email delivery, address geocoding, utility-territory screening, solar roof information, solar-production modeling, optional AI-assisted features, security, and other functions needed to operate the service. These providers may include Netlify, Cloudflare Turnstile, Google, National Laboratory of the Rockies/PVWatts, Stripe, Supabase, Resend, OpenAI, and governmental or third-party geographic-data services, depending on the analysis requested.

Third-party providers operate under their respective terms and privacy practices. GridLogic does not control their systems, availability, or independent processing and retention practices.

8. Fees, delivery, and refunds

Prices and included deliverables are displayed before purchase. No payment is required to run the initial analysis unless otherwise clearly disclosed. Under the current residential launch configuration, the analysis runs first and, only after it completes successfully, the customer may purchase access to the full results and detailed PDF report for the displayed one-time price (currently $30).

By completing checkout, you authorize the payment processor to charge the displayed amount and represent that you are authorized to use the selected payment method. GridLogic does not directly receive or store complete payment-card information. Stripe Checkout asks for an email address. You should provide an email address you can access. GridLogic uses the email address returned in the successful Stripe Checkout session for secure report delivery and later report-retrieval matching; GridLogic does not independently verify ownership of that email address.

Secure report delivery and 30-day availability: After a successful paid analysis, the full results are unlocked in the browser and the detailed PDF is available for download. GridLogic also stores a private copy of the completed PDF report and limited retrieval information for a 30-day customer-access period measured from report creation. GridLogic sends a short-lived secure access link to the email address returned in the successful Stripe Checkout session and provides a report code. If the initial link expires, the customer may request a replacement link during the 30-day access period using the checkout email address and report code. Issuing a replacement link invalidates the previously issued access token.

Secure-link expiration is separate from the 30-day customer-access period. A short-lived link currently expires after about one hour, well before the report-access period ends. Customer access ends at the 30-day expiration time. A scheduled daily cleanup process then removes the expired PDF and associated application-level retrieval record, so physical deletion may occur shortly after access has already ended rather than at the exact instant of expiration. Customers should download and save any report they want to keep. GridLogic does not retain the original hourly CSV file as part of the report vault. If the customer chooses to include the property address in the PDF, that address remains inside the privately stored PDF during the report-access period even though GridLogic does not intend to retain the address as a separate report-vault database field.

Payment and refund policy: Because the analysis is customized using customer-selected information and data, a purchase becomes nonrefundable once payment has been successfully completed and the full analysis results have been unlocked, except as required by applicable law. Additional details are provided in the Refund Policy.

GridLogic will review timely requests involving duplicate charges, an erroneous charge, or a verified technical failure that prevents the customer from receiving or accessing the purchased results during the disclosed availability period. Requests should be submitted within seven calendar days of purchase. GridLogic may restore access, issue a replacement secure link, rerun the analysis where appropriate, or issue a refund. Expiration of a short-lived secure link when a replacement link remains available, or expiration of the disclosed 30-day report-retention period, is not by itself a technical delivery failure. If a refund is approved, GridLogic will submit it to the payment processor within five business days after approval. Additional time for the credit to appear on the customer’s account depends on the payment processor, card network, bank, or other financial institution. Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

9. Limited license and intellectual property

GridLogic grants you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use the residential service and retain a purchased report for your personal or household purposes. You may provide your report to your electric utility or to professionals assisting you, including an attorney, accountant, tax adviser, engineer, solar or battery installer, lender, or other adviser.

GridLogic retains all rights in its website, calculation methods, software, models, design, text, graphics, and report formats, subject to any rights belonging to third parties. You retain your rights in information you supply.

You may not resell or commercially redistribute the GridLogic service or reports, remove ownership notices, reproduce or systematically extract GridLogic’s website or calculation functionality to create a competing service, or represent GridLogic results as a utility determination, professional certification, or guaranteed outcome.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE WEBSITE, ANALYZER, MODELED RESULTS, REPORTS, AND RELATED INFORMATION ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” GRIDLOGIC DISCLAIMS EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, AVAILABILITY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT.

GridLogic does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free; that utility tariff information will remain unchanged; that every account-specific utility provision is represented; or that modeled annual bill differences, rate comparisons, solar production, battery operation, or other results will equal actual outcomes; or that utility publications, third-party data, GridLogic data entry, tariff interpretation, software implementation, or calculation logic will be free from error.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GridLogic Analytics, LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost savings, revenue, profits, data, or opportunities; additional utility charges; equipment, financing, or installation costs; or decisions made using or in reliance on the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GridLogic’s aggregate liability arising from a paid analysis will not exceed the amount paid to GridLogic for the specific analysis giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Some jurisdictions do not permit particular exclusions or limitations, and those provisions apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

12. Suspension and changes

GridLogic may suspend or limit access as reasonably needed to protect the service, comply with law, address misuse, correct or validate utility-modeling issues, or maintain third-party integrations. GridLogic may update these Terms as the service, supported utilities, providers, or legal requirements change.

For a paid transaction, the version of the Terms accepted when that transaction was completed will continue to govern that transaction unless applicable law requires otherwise.

13. Governing law, disputes, and state consumer rights

These Terms are governed by Arizona law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before filing a claim, you and GridLogic agree to attempt in good faith to resolve the matter through written notice and informal discussion. Subject to applicable law, any court proceeding will be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in Maricopa County, Arizona.

This choice of law and forum does not waive or deprive a consumer of nonwaivable protections provided by the law of the consumer’s state of residence. This includes any nonwaivable consumer-protection, privacy, payment, or dispute rights that may apply, as applicable, in Arizona, Nevada, California, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Colorado, Utah, or any other jurisdiction in which GridLogic offers or markets the residential service.

14. General provisions and contact

If a provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. GridLogic’s failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the disclosures presented in the applicable residential analyzer and checkout constitute the agreement governing the residential analysis purchased through the website.
